Connector, creator and strategic thinker for over twenty years, A.Z. Kelsey melds arts & culture methodologies with insights from the urbanism and development sectors to help institutions, communities and practitioners realize their ambitions through custom programs, comprehensive planning and bold experimentation. Drawing on his conservatory background (David Geffen School of Drama at Yale), A.Z. applies an artist-centered approach in his producing work—regardless of the discipline—prioritizing rigorous process and healthy collaboration before driving towards finished products. In his curation and programming, A.Z. gives careful consideration to the role of the public, regarding every presented work as a means of civic dialogue. His current projects focus on community engagement, access to the arts, and activating under-utilized spaces, working closely at the meeting point between the independent creative sector and municipalities, both urban and rural.  A.Z. is based in Scandinavia, with a strong network in the U.S.A.
